Dave Ely
Dave Ely grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota. He was actually in Kevin Kremer’s sixth grade class when Kremer was a rookie teacher.
Dave is a self-taught painter and carver whose art interests lie in the realistic portrayal of western and wildlife material in wood, paint, stone, and steel. In addition to illustrating books, Dave does custom wood carving, steel sculptures, bone sculptures, and paintings.
Dave has recently done a life-size bear carving and an eagle carving for the movie Wooly Boys.
